Housing

HACC provides assistance to low and moderate-income households of Champaign County through a variety of housing and supportive service programs.

Housing Programs include affordable communities owned by HACC affiliates and managed by HACC and mixed-income communities sponsored by HACC.

Housing communities include apartments, townhomes and single-family homes for families and the general population; age restricted housing for individuals age 55 and older; supportive housing for individuals with special needs; and emergency shelter for homeless families with children.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program provides both Project Based Vouchers which provide rental assistance to a specific property and Tenant Based Vouchers which allow families to select housing of their choice throughout Champaign County.

HACC offers homeownership opportunities to eligible families that successfully achieve economic self-sufficiency while participating in one of the rental assistance programs.
