Families receiving support through HACC's MTW voucher program have the chance to join the SHIFT (Family Self-Sufficiency Program). This program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, empowers families to work together with HACC to set and achieve goals related to education, career growth, financial stability, and personal development. With every goal accomplished, participants earn money that is deposited into a savings account managed by HACC. When they complete the program, they receive the total amount saved. For example, the average pay out for SHIFT graduates in 2024 was $6823.00.
